Oklahoma Summer Chamber Music Institute
Oklahoma Conservatory of Music launches the very first Oklahoma Summer Chamber Music Institute. Through private funding and grant distributions, the Institute allows top Oklahoma strings and piano students between ages of 15 to 20 to study and perform chamber music - studying with inspiring professional musicians from the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the Dallas area, and receiving performance opportunities through community concerts - at a fraction of a cost typical to other Summer events.
OCM 2026 Summer Chamber Music Camp
Oklahoma Conservatory of Music strings and piano students between the ages of 7 and 14 participated in the OCM Summer Chamber Music Camp. The camp featured one string duo, two piano trios, and one string quartet.
Oklahoma Conservatory of Music Students at Quartz Mountain Summer Arts Institute
Violinist Clara Ripka and cellists Avery Wiggins, Noah Koo, Jamie Kang and Cassie Solorzano attended the 50th Quartz Mountain Summer Arts Institute.
OCM 2026 Graduating Students
Cellist Avery Wiggins chose Texas Christian University for her Bachelor in Music Performance degree. She will be studying with cellist, Juliette Herlin. She was accepted to university music programs at Cleveland Institute of Music, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Florida State University, University of Missouri at Kansas City, University of Oklahoma.
Cellist Ben Peters chose University of Missouri at Kansas City for his Bachelor in Music Performance degree. He will be studying with Michael Mermagen. He was accepted to university music programs at West Texas A&M University, University of Texas at Arlington, Missouri State University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Oklahoma.
Violist Ella Inman chose Purdue University for her Aerospace Engineering degree.
Violinist Tatum Rodriguez chose University of Central Oklahoma for her Forensic Molecular Science degree. She will continue performing violin with the University of Central Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra.
Violinist Trinity Porter chose University of Oklahoma for her History degree. She will continue performing violin with the University of Oklahoma Civic Orchestra.
Oklahoma City Philharmonic Young Musicians Competition
Two high school cellists, Avery Wiggins and Noah Koo, advance into the Final Round of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Young Musicians Competition, which will be held at the Oklahoma City University on April 12. Both students study with Dr. Angelika Machnik-Jones.
Avery Wiggins is a high school senior, auditioning to university music programs in the US. Avery has performed at the Texas Cello School, Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, and Oklahoma All-State Orchestra. She is a member of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra.
Noah Koo is a high school sophomore. He has attended the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute and performed in the Oklahoma All-State Orchestra. He is the 2025 Division Alternate winner in the South Central division of the Music Teachers National Association Junior Strings Competition, as well as the 3rd prize winner at the Junior Strings Division of the 2024 Oklahoma City Philharmonic Young Musicians Competition.
Oklahoma Music Teachers Association District Auditions
Piano students Sofia Biddick and Jayden Dasari achieve superior markings at the OMTA District Auditions held at Oklahoma Christian University on February 28, 2026. They advance to the State Auditions, which will be held at the University of Oklahoma on May 16. Both students study with Ekaterina Kuleshova
Sofia has been an OCM student since the beginning of her studies in 2021. She and her musician siblings frequently perform together as part of the Sirenes Piano Trio.
Jayden has been an OCM student since 2023. Jayden has also dabbled in viola, double bass and percussion, before devoting himself more fully to piano.
Enid Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition
Cellist Avery Wiggins places third in the 2026 Enid Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.
2026 Oklahoma All-State Symphony Orchestra
Cellists Noah Koo, Jamie Kang, and Fahim Nazier were chosen to perform with the 2026 Oklahoma All-State Symphony Orchestra

Pianist Samuel Rhoades attended and performed at Oberlin Piano Festival and Tanglewood Music Center.
