Monday - Friday 11am-3pm
Friday 5pm - recital performance
The Intensive is designed for students with two or more years of private study. Target age is 11 to 13 years old, but slightly younger or older students are permitted to attend, depending on their skill level.
The purpose of the Intensive is to boost the students technique and music skills through a week of intense practice, lessons, group classes, and performance opportunities. Daily schedule includes:
Scalelympics: daily two octave scales/arpeggios class combined with a scale contest at the end of the week
Technique boost: daily supervised practice of etudes and studies
Solo repertoire preparation for Recital Performance
Daily solfège (aural skills and theory) class
Stage presence skills, performance confidence building
